About
The checklist an agent would run, for players who do not have one.
If you have an offer from a team or organisation and no one on your side of the table, Esports Agent does the arithmetic and the checklist part of an agent's job for you: it separates guaranteed money from hoped-for money, turns notice and severance into dollars, and lists the clauses worth asking about.
What it is not
Esports Agent is a self-help tool, not an agent or a law firm. It does not represent players, contact teams, negotiate or take commission, and nothing here is legal advice. It does not know any team, names no team or league, and keeps no ratings or reviews.
Sources
- US federal minimum wage, $7.25 an hour: U.S. Department of Labor, dol.gov/agencies/whd/minimum-wage. Used only as a comparison.
- Contracts with under-18 players: the rules are set by each state and they differ. In California, for example, a minor can generally disaffirm (cancel) a contract (Family Code section 6710), and a contract for a minor's services as a player in a sport is protected from that only once a superior court approves it (Family Code section 6750(a)(3) and section 6751). A parent's signature alone does not settle it. A lawyer licensed in the player's state can advise on a real contract.
Who runs it
Esports Agent is built and run by WeldonPC.com. It needs no staff to work: the checks are fixed rules in the code, shown in full in the Clause guide.
